Kirk and her parents are the owners of Kirk Fish Company, a retail and wholesale seafood company in Goodland, which has about 400 year-round residents. "So it's easy to look at big cities that are highly populated and see that, and it's not as easy to see us down here," she added.

North Korean passenger flight takes off 90 minutes after missile launch Posted: 14 Sep 2017 07:14 PM PDT A North Korean passenger flight took off from Pyongyang's international airport about an hour and a half after an intermediate-range ballistic missile was launched from the area. Air Koryo flight 151 departed the airport for Beijing as scheduled at 8.30am local time. About 90 minutes prior to take-off, a missile flew over Japan after being launched from Sunan, the site of the airport. The timing would mean passengers would have been at the airport to witness the launch of the missile. "When passengers are flying back to Beijing departing at 8:30 am, we arrange our group to arrive at 7:00 am to check in, go through customs and immigration…(as) the flights can get fairly busy," Rowan Beard, a tour manager at Young Pioneer Tours, told NK News. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said the missile travelled about 3,700 kilometers (2,300 miles) and reached a maximum height of 770 kilometers (478 miles). It followed a similar launch on August 29 of a relatively untested intermediate-range Hwasong-12 from the runway of the airport. It did not issue a "Notice to Airmen" (NOTAM) prior to that test, nor before the latest launch, raising fears for aircraft flying along the east of the Korean peninsula or near Japan. This is an incredible photo pic.twitter.com/qExSipD2zS— Ben Harris-Roxas (@ben_hr) August 30, 2017 North Korea's missile launches have raised concerns for aircraft in the past. In July, a packed Air France jet en route to Tokyo flew past the location where North Korea's test intercontinental ballistic missile crashed into the Sea of Japan less than ten minutes later, according to a US official cited by ABC news. The airline said it was never in danger but as a precaution Air France-KLM have decided to reroute flights heading north from Japan.

Donald Trump accuses Scotland Yard of already having Parsons Green attacker 'in their sights' Posted: 15 Sep 2017 07:01 AM PDT Donald Trump has suggested Scotland Yard had prior knowledge of the perpetrators responsible for the Parsons Green tube bombing. The US President tweeted that the attack was the work of a "loser terrorist" as he also suggested it might be a good idea to "cut off the internet" to prevent further terror attacks. However, his suggestion that those responsible "were in the sights of Scotland Yard" was slapped down by the Prime Minister. Another attack in London by a loser terrorist. These are sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard. Must be proactive!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 15, 2017 Mrs May said that such an accusation was not "helpful" and that the police and security services are working to ascertain the "full circumstances" surrounding the attack. Mr Trump said he will call Theresa May "right now" after she criticised him over his "unhelpful" speculation. Speaking after chairing a meeting of the Cobra emergency committee, Mrs May said: "I never think it is helpful for anybody to speculate on what is an ongoing investigation. "As I have just said the police and security services are working to discover the full circumstances of this cowardly attack and to identify all those responsible." Scotland Yard is yet to have confirmed whether the attacker was on its radar, despite the US President's assertions. It is not the first time Mr Trump has weighed in on terror attacks in the UK. He previously criticised Sadiq Khan over his handling of the London Bridge terror attack. Loser terrorists must be dealt with in a much tougher manner. The internet is their main recruitment tool which we must cut off & use better!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 15, 2017 The explosion caused by a suspected "bucket bomb" on a London Underground train at Parsons Green is being treated as a terrorist attack by police. No arrests have so far been made and a major manhunt is under way. Witnesses reported seeing people "covered in blood" after a "flash and a bang" from the device that is not believed to have fully detonated, but sent a "fireball" through the packed District Line Tube in west London. Pictures and video posted on social media showed a flaming bucket - which is said to have had wires coming from it - inside a Lidl carrier bag on the floor of a carriage. Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his "no reason to be alarmed" statement. MSM is working hard to sell it!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 5, 2017 Scotland Yard has dismissed President Trump's claims. A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said the US President's comments - which did not correspond with any information released by the UK authorities - were "unhelpful". Mr Trump made the provocative allegation in a trademark tweet as police launched a major manhunt to track down the perpetrators responsible for planting the device on a packed commuter train. Parsons Green London Underground terror attack, in pictures "Another attack in London by a loser terrorist," he wrote. "These are sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard. Must be proactive!" His claim threatened to spark a fresh row over US-UK intelligence sharing arrangements which have already come under strain since he entered the White House. Forensics officers can be seen next to the evacuated tube train at Parsons Green Station Credit: Peter Macdiarmid/LNP A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "The comments are unhelpful and pure speculation. If anyone has got any evidence or information, please contact the anti-terrorism hotline." His remarks were echoed by former No 10 aide Nick Timothy, who tweeted: "True or not - and I'm sure he doesn't know - this is so unhelpful from leader of our ally and intelligence partner." There was no immediate response from the White House to questions as to the basis of Mr Trump's assertion. Mission controllers reacting to the end of the Cassini mission at Saturn will make you emotional Posted: 15 Sep 2017 06:09 AM PDT Scientists aren't exactly known for their public displays of emotion, but sometimes, that's what a moment calls for. On Friday, as the long-running Cassini mission at Saturn came to a close, mission managers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California couldn't help but get a little teary as they said goodbye to a spacecraft that had been in space for two decades. SEE ALSO: Cassini, one of humanity's best spacecraft, is officially dead at Saturn Even though the mission's end was planned for years, it didn't make it any easier to watch lines of data come back indicating that Cassini had broken apart in Saturn's atmosphere, becoming a part of the planet it studied at close range for 13 years. "Things never will be quite the same for those of us on the Cassini team now that the spacecraft is no longer flying," Cassini project scientist Linda Spilker, said in a statement. "But, we take comfort knowing that every time we look up at Saturn in the night sky, part of Cassini will be there, too." Earl Maize, left, and Julie Webster, right, embrace after the end of Cassini.Image: NASA/Joel KowskySome of the researchers on the Cassini project have been with the mission since it began, as it launched to space in 1997, when Bill Clinton was still president. It arrived at its target planet in 2004. During its time at Saturn, the probe has re-shaped our understanding of the ringed planet and its place in the solar system, sending back amazing photos and scientific data about the world's moons, rings, and environment. For example, the spacecraft is responsible for helping us see the lakes and rivers of methane below the moon Titan's hazy atmosphere. Cassini also helped researchers figure out that Enceladus likely has an ocean of liquid water beneath its icy surface.
